Open Call for Communications Committee Chair

Open Call for Community Relations Committee Chairperson and Independent Senator

There are currently two open seats on the Student Senate: Community Relations Committee Chairperson and Independent Senator.  CRC deals with improving relations and participation of members of the RPI community with our surroundings, including local schools, the city of Troy, and others.  The Independent Senator is a senator who is not affiliated with any IFC/PanHel organizations on campus.  Both nominations according to the Senate bylaws are made by the Grand Marshal, though the choice for Independent Senator will be made in conjunction with the current Independent Senator and senior independent members of the senate.  If interested in these positions, please fill out the form at the link attached. https://goo.gl/forms/mPJNEPBC7ltWU82k1…

Statement on Recent Events from Grand Marshal and President of the Union

From the Office of the Grand Marshal and the President of the Union: Hello members of the Rensselaer Union, You are likely aware of the current unrest and displeasure among members of the Union over elements of RPI’s Student Life Portfolio restructuring.  More specifically the element related to the Director of the Union being supervised by the Assistant Vice President for Student Life/Dean of Students, to whom they previously were a peer.
